Gordon urges travel ind’try leaders to tackle initiatives (with photo)

Tourism Secretary Richard Gordon challenged travel industry leaders to work together, take initiatives instead of complaining, and do their share in the big task of revitalizing the country’s tourism industry. The tourism chief made the urgent call during the recently-concluded 3rd Tourism Related Industries Congress (TRICON) which gathered over 300 leaders and key players from public and private sectors.

Hong Kong, RP strengthen tourism cooperation

Hong Kong and the Philippines have pledged to step up their cooperation as tourism partners and jointly promote the two destinations in overseas markets, following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between their officials tourism marketing organizations.  The MOU was signed in Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) chairman, Selina Chow, GBS, OBE, JP and chairman of the Philippine Convention and Visitors Corporation (PCVC) Richard Gordon , who is also Secretary of Tourism.

Cavite governor thanks tourism secretary for initiating Imus Historical Museum project

Cavite Governor Ayong Maliksi thanked Tourism Secretary Richard Gordon for initiating the Imus Historical Museum project located at Camp General Pantaleon Garcia which is expected to boost historical tourism in the province. Maliksi said the museum would attract local and foreign tourists.
