Ka mag-anak, the Program:

Ka mag-anak has been founded with the goal to earn money with it’s activities. This money will be spent to start and manage social projects to help people in need. Mainly this will happen in the Philippines, but can happen worldwide, wherever people are suffering. The activities include the organization of evening events like cultural events, Karaoke and Beauty contests, Disco events, Bazaar, participation at other events, cultural presentations (like cultural dances, Folklore, sketches), and a lot more.

What does Ka mag-anak mean?

Ka mag-anak is a Tagalog word (the main language in the Philippines), and means: Big Family. Exactly this is the idea of the association. The member’s community is a big family and all member work together for the social goals of the association. Together with this goes the transparency within Ka mag-anak. All decisions will be done public and are available for all members to read. Discussions and constructive critics are explicitly encouraged.

What is so special about Ka mag-anak?

Ka mag-anak is an international association. Its members are currently form the USA, the UK, the Netherlands, India and Switzerland. This internationality requires special efforts from the organizers and members. Besides the legally required yearly main meeting there is no other meeting of the member community. The travel costs simply would be to expensive. Instead the whole communication will be done via the Internet. Discussions will be done via public and internal forum; meetings will be done by videoconferences and chat rooms.

Talents, goals and tasks of Ka mag-anak

The members of Ka mag-anak come from everywhere and have the most surprising talents. These talents can be used within Ka mag-anak mostly free of charge. For instant one of our members is a magician, another is a member in a Philippine Dance and Show band. Another one has had already performed in great events around Germany. Furthermore we have talented dancers and dance trainer.

These talents will be used for of the Ka mag-anak events to present a program, which is unrivaled yet. Furthermore Ka mag-anak offers the logistic support to organize such events worldwide.

Therefore we motivate all members to organize events in their local environment. The program and the logistic support is available. This means, Ka mag-anak events can happen all over the world when there are enough members available to start the organization.

Donation rules of Ka mag-anak:

Donations will be done only by the members of the association according to the regulation in the statutes . This guarantees that 100% of the money will be used for the intended purpose.
